Launch of the Website!
Hi all! If you’re reading this, that means you’re here for the launch of my website! Such a momentous occasion… Of course I’ll be updating my portfolio and shop when I get work done, but I’ll also be posting about whatever little thoughts I have on occasion. For this post, I guess I’ll just share a little bit about myself and what’s going on.
First things first, you must absolutely know all about my lovely little cat. Her name is Mouse! If you don’t think she’s the most perfect thing ever, then I’m going to have to ask you to leave (and no, I’m not biased at all). Welp, I’ll just have to prove it:
In other news, I live and work in Seattle at a pottery supply store. Among many tasks, I’m one of the kiln techs where I fire customer pieces, and I love, love, love to see what everyone is working on. Although I work full-time, I do my best to make time for my own art. Thus, at least for now, I’m not making as frequently as I would like, but one day, hopefully…
Outside of ceramics and work and whatnot, I enjoy knitting, oftentimes with a show on in the background, videogames, baking, and the occasional random craft. I’m currently playing the new Tomodachi Life game. It’s really enjoyable, but not as well fleshed out as the previous two versions, so fingers crossed for some updates here soon. And since you probably don’t know me too well, just know I’m an avid Umamusume player, and I play every night before bed. Something about the collection aspect as well as the skill-based gameplay keeps me coming back for more. Should you have any tips for the new scenario (Trackblazer), I’m all ears. No matter what I do and what guides I read, I can’t get past an S+ rating :(. Anyways, I digress.
As for knitting, I’m close to finishing the popular Sailor Slipper pattern, and I’ve just finished season 3 of Breaking Bad alongside them. The slippers are so easy, and the recommended yarn is pretty affordable, so I highly recommend the pattern should you want to make some felted slippers. You can find it pretty easily on Ravelry if you search “Sailor Slippers”, and you bet I’ll post some pics here when I get them finished. And of course, Breaking Bad is a classic for a reason. This is somehow my first watch-through, and as I expected, it lives up to its reputation.
